Library Collaboration Beyond PWR1

PWR 2 classes are not assigned a librarian, so many instructors create refresher activities and share overview handouts of their own to refamiliarize their second-year students with library resources and research strategies.  

Additionally, some instructors have students watch pre-recorded workshops from the Stanford instructional librarians, including the following two offerings:

• Spruce Up Your Research Skills: Making the Most of Stanford Libraries with Pauline Lewis
• Introduction to Databases with Phyllis Kayten

Similarly, is no formal collaboration mechanism in place for upper-division elective PWR courses.  If you are a PWR instructor for an upper-division course and would like to explore possible ways to integrate a workshop or special collections visit into your class, contact the Library Reference librarians or the specific librarian you'd like to work with to initiate your inquiry.
